“A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you’re fast asleep
In dreams you will lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep.” ~Cinderella
A dream is a wish your heart makes! *dances around as gracefully as a. . .as a. . .clumsy oaf can?* Oh well, that line needed dancing to! It’s perfect. I wish. . .I wish. . .I wish. . . can you guess what I wish for? Come on. You must have some idea. Right? I wish. . .well, I’ll tell you at the end of my post.
I love my dreams. . .well most of the time. What about you? Do you like to dream? I love daydreaming. But my favorite kind of dreaming? That’s book dreaming. That’s what I call it. I’m reading and dreaming about the characters in that book and they come alive to me. That’s the kind of reading I love to do. What about you? What kind of reading do you like?
I love dreams that are real. And books make my dreams real. I’m an extremely visual person when it comes to reading. My mum, less so. What kind of a reader are you? Anyway, the ability to escape into our dream world is what makes reading so fun for us. It’s what makes us come back for more broken hearts, bones, death, happiness, love, and more. It’s why we put ourselves through the pure agony of letting the authors kill our favorite characters. HOW DARE THEY! They think they can just go around breaking our hearts, do they? Well they CAN. Yes, they can. Because we, as the silly people that we are, can’t stop coming back for me. . .because we are dreamers and dreamers need to dream. And books let us dream, in ways we never thought possible. That is why we love our books. We love the feel, smell, look of books. Because for a little while. . .we can dream.
*Author’s note: Thank y’all for reading. I hope you can relate to this somehow. Comment, like, subscribe, whatever. I will make sure to respond to anything you say. Thank so, so much for your time and support. God bless and have a lovely day!
