NaNoWriMo, other wise known as the National Novel Writing Month, (Yes, it is that time of the year, No, don’t panic) Yay! Excited? Nervous? Scared? What? What do you feel about this month? This. . .incredibly scary month?
Right? Don’t you think? I don’t know. Sadly, I do not have time to participate. I really wish I did, but between school, graduation prep, college prep, music, and martial arts, I don’t have time. What about you? Are you participating in NaNoWriMo? Or even if not, are you considering it, sometime?
Man, writing is exhausting, though. Isn’t it? I DON’T WANT TO WRITE 50,000 WORD IN ONE MONTH!!! Then don’t. Set yourself a smaller limit and try to stick to that. But don’t get discouraged about it.
The fear of most writers. If you’re like me. . .I am a perfectionist. NaNoWriMo is so, so hard for me because I can’t stand things that aren’t as close to perfect as I can get them! No, no, no, no, no. Don’t worry about that. . .instead focus on doing your very best and your fastest typing you have EVER done. And probably EVER will do. It’s scary how fast you must type! Set yourself a daily word limit. I WILL GET THIS DONE EVEN IF IT KILLS ME IN THE PROCESS!!! Ok, don’t go that far. Make it reasonable, why don’t you.
See, you can do it! You go. You can create something extra special and extraordinary. . .even if you don’t realise it at first! You really can. With some editing afterwards, it can be the most amazing thing you have ever done.
Feel free to leave a comment about NaNoWriMo or writing in general. . .or whatever you want to say! I’m always welcome to feedback and I love to hear from you all! Thank you and God bless.
